A Louisiana Tech catcher hits an inside-the-park grand slam in front of ecstatic Austin Regional fans

Louisiana Tech's opening game of the NCAA baseball regionals against Dallas Baptist was a success, despite the attention being focused on LSU and UL baseball.

With two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning of the Bulldogs' opening game at the Austin Regional, catcher Jorge Corona stepped up to the plate.

Chaos ensues when the centerfielder loses a pop fly in the air in Austin, Texas, which is home to the Texas Longhorns. Corona's grand slam hit clears the bases and brings him home for a run.

A 11-4 Bulldogs lead went into the seventh inning after the unconventional grand slam.
